Questions

Common questions

What resolution should I choose?

1600px on the longest edge is comfortable on screen and is the default. Go to 2400px or higher only if the image will be printed or zoomed into — the files grow quickly and most of that detail is invisible otherwise.

Should I use JPG or PNG?

JPG for pages that are mostly photographs or scans — far smaller, and the compression is invisible at sensible quality. PNG for pages with sharp text, line drawings or diagrams, where JPG would soften the edges.

Can I convert just one page?

Yes. Click that page before exporting and you get a single image rather than a zip.

Is my document uploaded anywhere?

No. Every PDF tool here runs inside your browser. The file is read from disk, worked on in memory, and written back out — it is never sent to a server. That matters more for documents than photos: contracts, statements and ID scans are exactly the things you should not be uploading to a stranger's website.
