Merge PDF files

Combine several PDFs into a single document. Drag the files into the order you want and download the result. Pages are copied across untouched, so text stays selectable and nothing is re-encoded.

Questions

Common questions

Does merging reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied between documents rather than re-rendered, so text stays selectable, fonts stay embedded and images keep exactly the pixels they had. The merged file is as good as its sources.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

Up to twenty at a time. The limit is about your device's memory rather than the tool — very large documents use more of it, so a laptop copes with more than an old phone.

Will bookmarks and form fields survive?

Page content, text and images survive intact. Interactive extras like bookmarks, form fields and annotations may not carry over, which is a limit of copying pages between documents rather than something you can turn on.

Is my document uploaded anywhere?

No. Every PDF tool here runs inside your browser. The file is read from disk, worked on in memory, and written back out — it is never sent to a server. That matters more for documents than photos: contracts, statements and ID scans are exactly the things you should not be uploading to a stranger's website.
