Common questions
Can I upload a picture of my signature?
Yes. Choose Upload, pick a PNG, JPG or WebP, and it becomes a signature you can place anywhere in the document. If it is a photograph of a signature on paper, the tool takes the white background out for you, so it sits on the page instead of in a white box.
Can I type my signature instead of drawing one?
Yes. Choose Type, enter up to 250 characters, and pick from six handwriting faces. There is also a plain face for adding a printed name, a date or your initials next to the signature.
Can I put the same signature on several pages?
Yes. A signature you make stays in the panel while you work, so you can drop it onto page one and page seven without drawing it twice. The page strip down the side marks every page you have signed.
Can I sign a PDF on my phone?
Yes, on Android and iPhone, in the browser you already have — there is nothing to install. Pinch to zoom in on the signature line, then sign with a finger or a stylus. Where the device reports pressure it is used, so a stylus stroke thickens and thins the way handwriting does.
Is a drawn signature legally valid?
In many places a drawn signature on a document is accepted for everyday agreements, and it is what most people mean by signing a PDF. It is not the same as a cryptographic digital signature, which proves identity and detects tampering. If a contract specifically requires a certified digital signature, you need a service built for that.
Why does it matter that this runs on my device?
Because a signature is the one thing you should be most careful about uploading. Every other online signing tool receives an image of your signature and the document it belongs to. This one never sends either anywhere, and it does not store your signature after you close the tab.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Every PDF tool here runs inside your browser. The file is read from disk, worked on in memory, and written back out — it is never sent to a server. That matters more for documents than photos: contracts, statements and ID scans are exactly the things you should not be uploading to a stranger's website.
