Common questions
Will the PDF match Word's page breaks exactly?
Not exactly. This lays the document out afresh rather than driving Word, so pagination can differ. It is a deliberate trade: the alternative is screenshotting each page, which matches Word's look but produces a PDF whose text cannot be selected, searched or read aloud, and which is many times larger.
Can it convert .doc files?
No — .doc is the pre-2007 binary format and is a different thing entirely. Open it in Word or Google Docs and save it as .docx first, then it converts normally.
Does it handle other languages?
Latin-script languages convert fully, including accented characters. Scripts that the standard PDF fonts have no glyphs for — Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean — cannot be embedded, and the tool lists any characters it had to leave out rather than dropping them silently.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Every PDF tool here runs inside your browser. The file is read from disk, worked on in memory, and written back out — it is never sent to a server. That matters more for documents than photos: contracts, statements and ID scans are exactly the things you should not be uploading to a stranger's website.
