Common questions
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
No converter can promise that, including the paid ones. A PDF records where each glyph sits on the page, not that a run of them was a heading or a table — all of that has to be inferred back out. Expect the text, the reading order, the headings and the emphasis to survive; expect multi-column layouts to be read as one column and tables to come through as lines.
Why does my scanned PDF come out empty?
Because there is nothing in it to extract. A scan is a photograph of a page, so the file holds an image and no text at all. Reading it needs optical character recognition, which this tool does not do — it tells you when it detects this rather than handing you a blank document.
Is there a page limit or a watermark?
Neither. The work happens on your own device, so there is no per-file charge to recover and no reason to cap it. The only real limit is your device's memory on a very large document.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Every PDF tool here runs inside your browser. The file is read from disk, worked on in memory, and written back out — it is never sent to a server. That matters more for documents than photos: contracts, statements and ID scans are exactly the things you should not be uploading to a stranger's website.
