Common questions
Is a photograph as good as a real scan?
For anything you are emailing or filing, usually yes — a modern phone camera out-resolves a flatbed at 300dpi. Shoot straight on rather than at an angle, and put the page on something plain so the edges are clear. Where a real scanner still wins is a page that has to stay perfectly flat and square, like an archival document.
Can I put several pages into one file?
Yes. Add as many images as the document has pages, order them, and they come out as a single PDF with one page each.
Will the text be searchable?
No. A photograph of text is a picture of text, and making it searchable needs optical character recognition, which this does not do. The PDF will look right and print right; it just will not be text you can select.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Every PDF tool here runs inside your browser. The file is read from disk, worked on in memory, and written back out — it is never sent to a server. That matters more for documents than photos: contracts, statements and ID scans are exactly the things you should not be uploading to a stranger's website.
