Convert PNG to WebP
This is usually the best thing you can do to a large PNG. WebP keeps the transparency, and typically lands at a fraction of the size — the saving is far bigger than compressing the PNG as a PNG.

Questions
Common questions
Does WebP keep my transparent background?
Yes. WebP supports an alpha channel, so a logo or cutout converts cleanly with its transparency intact. That is the main reason to choose it over JPG for this kind of image.
How much smaller will it be?
For a photographic PNG, often five to ten times smaller. For flat graphics with few colours the gap is narrower, because PNG is already efficient at those.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The work happens in your browser using image APIs it already ships with, so the file never leaves your device. There is no upload to wait for and nothing stored on a server afterwards.
