Common questions
What is the difference between flipping and rotating?
Rotating turns the picture around its centre; the content keeps the same handedness. Flipping mirrors it, so anything asymmetric — text especially — comes out reversed. If text in your photo reads backwards, you want a flip, not a rotation.
Does flipping lose any quality?
No pixels are resampled by the flip itself. A JPG is re-encoded when it is saved, which costs a little, but the transformation is exact.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The work happens in your browser using image APIs it already ships with, so the file never leaves your device. There is no upload to wait for and nothing stored on a server afterwards.
