Common questions
What counts as an eSignature?
In most places an electronic signature is any mark you apply to a document to show you agree to it — typed, drawn, or an image of your handwriting. That is what this produces, and it is what the great majority of everyday agreements ask for.
Is an eSignature the same as a digital signature?
No, and the words get used interchangeably. An eSignature is the visible mark. A digital signature is a cryptographic certificate that proves who signed and detects later tampering, issued by a certificate authority. If a form specifically asks for a certified digital signature, you need a service built for that.
Can I sign without printing the document?
That is the whole point of it. Printing, signing, scanning and emailing back is four steps and a worse-looking document; this replaces all of them and keeps the text in the file selectable.
Do I need an account or a free trial?
Neither. There is nothing to sign up for, no trial that expires, no watermark on the result and no limit on how many documents you sign.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Every PDF tool here runs inside your browser. The file is read from disk, worked on in memory, and written back out — it is never sent to a server. That matters more for documents than photos: contracts, statements and ID scans are exactly the things you should not be uploading to a stranger's website.
