Common questions
How is this different from Preview?
Preview is good at highlighting and adding a signature and awkward at everything else — placing text where you want it, working across a long document, or exporting without surprises. This is built for those, and it does not need you to hunt through the Markup toolbar to find them.
Does it work in Safari?
Yes, and in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. There is nothing to install on any of them.
Do I need Acrobat for this?
Not for marking up, filling or signing. Acrobat earns its price when you need to rewrite the text already inside a document or work with real form fields, which no browser-based tool does honestly.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Every PDF tool here runs inside your browser. The file is read from disk, worked on in memory, and written back out — it is never sent to a server. That matters more for documents than photos: contracts, statements and ID scans are exactly the things you should not be uploading to a stranger's website.
